News:

(03/25/05) - Fox has announced that the remaining six new episodes of the canceled series Tru Calling will air starting with a two-hour episode on March 31, after which it will air in the 9 p.m. ET/PT Thursday timeslot of the now canceled Point Pleasant.

(01/18/05) - Gail Berman, president of entertainment at Fox, confirmed to reporters, at Fox's winter press tour Jan. 17 in Universal City, California, that Tru Calling won't be coming back, but... "We finished six episodes of Tru Calling, and we anticipate putting them on air at some point," Berman told reporters.

Berman added that the upcoming supernatural series Point Pleasant was the deciding factor in pulling Tru Calling. "What changed for us was when we saw Point Pleasant, we really felt we had a show that was incredibly compatible with The O.C.," Berman said. "So our thoughts changed, not so much about Tru Calling, but the possibility of not only having an exciting show and a winner at 8 o'clock, but also something that could really make headway for us at 9 o'clock in an incredibly competitive time period."

(10/15/04) - Zap2it reports that Jon Harmon Feldman, producer of Fox's Tru Calling, is not hopeful the show will ever return to television. Renewed for a second season, the series was scaled back before its season premiere, to six episodes from 13, and its Nov. 4 premiere date was given to North Shore. The first season is set to be released by Fox Home Video on DVD on Nov. 30.

"The network has not said they won't air these six," Feldman told the website, "but obviously you don't know what will happen. I am not planning a viewing party at this point."

"There has been talk of releasing season two, the six episodes, to DVD as well," Feldman said. "I hope that happens. It won't allow us to complete the arc that we were starting, but perhaps if we do release season two to DVD, at least it will give some of the creative people an opportunity to not only show those six episodes, but also tell the fans what was going to happen. Those are stories worth hearing, worth telling."

"There have been rumors flying about [Tru's going to] The WB," Feldman said. "Although, at this point, I believe them to be only rumors, nothing more.

(9/14/04) - According the The Hollywood Reporter, the Fox network has delayed the premiere of Tru Calling (originally scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 4) until mid-season. The network may also cut its original order of 13 episodes to six.

(8/3/04) - In a recent article with Scifi Wire, Eliza Dushku talks about a new love interest and Jack Harper.

(7/19/04) - In a recent article with Scifi Wire, Eliza Dushku talks about season 2.

(6/1/04) - Not only has "Tru Calling" been renewed, but "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" veteran writer-producer Jane Espenson will join "Tru Calling" as a co-executive producer, while also developing other projects for 20th Century Fox Television.
