Premise:

Jarod was a boy-genius that had the ability to quickly learn and impersonate different occupations. As a child, Jarod was taken from his family by a facility known only as The Centre. As years went by, The Centre put Jarod through various simulations that were being sold to the highest bidder. Realizing this, Jarod escapes The Centre and searches for his family. Along the way, he solves crimes by using his ability to become anyone he wants. But The Centre sends Sydney, Jarod's father-figure and trainer, and Miss Parker, Jarod's childhood friend, to capture Jarod.

News: (12/02/04) - The Season 1 DVD release has been pushed back one week to March 22nd.

(12/02/04) - FOX has officially announced the release date for The Pretender: Season 1. It will arrive in stores on March 15th. Bonus features include two Featurettes and multiple Commentary Tracks. It will sell for $39.98 SRP.
