Premise:
The Phoenix began as a 1981 movie special, which was turned into a short-run series. The series focused on Bennu, an emissary from an alien planet with a dying race, who had came to earth in the 4th Century A.D. and was preserved in an Andean tomb. Bennu was revived by modern Inca-hunting archeologists. Since waking, Bennu has been driven to find his partner Mira, who also being preserved somewhere else in the Americas. While searching for her, Bennu uses his necklace-worn amulet to help people. Justin Preminger is a government agent ordered to capture Bennu, so his powers can be used for covert purposes.
