Premise:
In the near future, television networks rule the planet. TV sets do not turn off and the programming is designed to keep citizens in a state of complacency. Poverty is rampant with millions living on the streets with nothing but a TV. Edison Carter, investigative reporter for Network 23, covers important stories in an effort to expose corruption and greed. An attempt to read his brain with a computer accidently creates a stuttering, eccentric computer simulation of Edison that calls itself Max Headroom.
