Plot Outline: "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" revolves around a human named Arthur Dent, who is rescued from the Earth by the undercover alien Ford Prefect when Earth is destroyed to make way for a new hyperspace bypass. Together (with the two-headed ex-hippie Zaphod; his girlfriend, the beautiful scientist Trillion; and a robot) they are on an intergalactic journey to discover the meaning of life.
